Where can I pick up my City Hunt?
Pick up your City Hunt right in the city centre, just a short walk from Copenhagen Central Station.
Option A – For online purchases
After booking your City Hunt online, you can collect your kit at the souvenir shop C. G. Nordic.

If you have a Copenhagen Card, you can collect your kit from Copenhagen Visitor Service.

From both locations, it’s just a short walk to Tivoli, where the self-guided tour starts.
Are the experiences accessible?
Our self-guided hunts are fully accessible. The routes are flat and stair-free, making them suitable for wheelchairs, prams and those with limited mobility.
However, typical urban features such as cobblestones, kerbs and uneven pavements may occur along the way. The activities takes place outdoors in public spaces and cover about 5 km, so anyone comfortable with that distance is welcome to join.
When can we do the hunts?
Anytime you like! All of our self-guided treasure hunts in Copenhagen (City Hunt, Hen Party Hunt and Stag Do Hunt) can be started, played and paused whenever you like and played at your own pace. For the best experience, we recommend doing it during daylight hours, as some clues and details can be hard to spot after dark.
What if it rains?
The hunt continues! Rain is no problem, just bring a raincoat or umbrella. In case of heavy rain or bad weather, you’re welcome to postpone your City Hunt and return later or another day.
How do I use my Copenhagen Card?
As a Copenhagen Card holder, you can pick up a free City Hunt from Copenhagen Visitor Service. Please check their opening hours before your visit.
Who are the hunts suitable for?
We have hunts for adults, families, teenagers, tourists, schools, birthdays, hen parties and stag dues. Do you need a hunt for a special occasion? Just write us!
What should I bring?
Bring comfortable shoes, your curiosity and maybe a bottle of water.
Do I need a phone or internet?
No. Our treasure hunts are designed to be enjoyed without the need for smartphones or internet connectivity. No need to worry about your battery, internet connection and roaming fees. Just focus on the moment, connect with your team and enjoy a screen-free experience in the heart of the city.
Can I get a custom version for my work, wedding or event?
Absolutely. We create custom treasure hunts for weddings, corporate events, onboarding, conferences, birthdays, and school activities. Are the treasure hunts in English?
Our City Hunts and Birthday Hunts are available in English, Danish and some products in German. For company hunts, we run live events in all three languages.
How does a City Hunt work?
You get a booklet with written instructions that guide you through the city. You will learn interesting historic bits and surprising fun facts all while solving creative, location-based riddles. The answers are transferred to a solution card that will reveal a hidden message at the end.
Is a City Hunt a good way to see Copenhagen?
It is an engaging, motivating and fun way to discover Copenhagen. Much more fun than a simple guide book. Much more flexible than a guided tour. Much more fun with location-based riddles. What do I get when purchasing a City Hunt?
You will get a starter kit with a nice booklet, a solution card and a pen. That is all you need for the fun experience. No need for a smartphone, app or internet.

Do I need to sign up for a City Hunt or treasure hunt?
The City Hunt is a self-guided adventure, so there is no need to sign up first. Simply buy the experience here, pick it up and you are ready to go!
How long does the City Hunt take?
Since it is a self-guided tour, it depends on how fast you walk, how many breaks you take, how much of the informative text you read or skip and how long you take to solve the riddles. Most participants finish in approximately two hours, but you can also turn it into a full day journey, if you shop, eat, visit museums and so on during the experience.
Does the City Hunt work without internet?
Yes, our hunts are designed to work without smartphones, apps or internet. Enjoy a real pen and paper experience and watch the beautiful surroundings instead of staring at your phone :)
Is the City Hunt good for kids?
Our City Hunts are designed for adults and the riddles might be too challenging for kids. However, they can still participate and help their parents find the correct tiles, statues, etc. so that the adults can solve it from there.
Can I book a treasure hunt for a company event?
Yes! We run lots of live events for companies - both in and outside Copenhagen. We offer experiences right at your office or at central locations throughout Copenhagen. Contact us for more information, packages and prices.
